Photo Critiques

The mood is straight forward in the photo the photographer perfectly caught all the expressions at the right time. The anticipation felt is strong and the framing of the crowd on the side of the room causes he mood to become stronger.

Assuming that the girl has died, simply by the way she is laying. This is a photo where you feel the sadness of the situation as well as the joy of believe that she is in a better place(represented by the white lace). Not having the girls face dead center helped the composure of the photo giving its emotions more strength.

Artistically this photo is amazing. The way the pillars frame the plane, the bold blue sky and white puffy clouds behind the plane. The architecture simply does so much for the photo.

San Francisco Color Earthquake photos

The photos were taken by Frederick Eugene Ives, they're telling the story of the 1960 earthquake in San Francisco. I believe that the photos would've been more powerful and emotional in black and white. The photos were side by side because it is suppose to give it a 3-D effect.

Photo Critiques

I chose this photo because of the story it tells. With the people just standing around the injured man and his facial expression made it stand out to me. The color of the blood on his face just pops compared to all the dull grays and browns of his surroundings and draws you in. They way the photographer got down on his level gave out the emotion of the injured man's perspective and the legs of the people standing around framed him.
I chose this photo  because of the textures and perspective that's portrayed. The shapes in the drill make this different and interesting to look at. Also the man's orange uniform makes him pop. By having the miner in the picture it shows how large the drill actually is.
I chose this photo because of the reaction you get from it. The emotions of abandonment. The brown hue in the photo gives it a dingy look and gives it more emotion.

Print Ad-reviews

This ad convinces the viewer that you cant have milk without oreo cookies. It's mood is effective because cookies and milk are a common combo.
This ad wants to make the people believe that if they drink this wine they are more distinguished. This mood is effective because people like feeling like they're higher than others.
This ad's message is convincing because the tally's make the cross walk more than just a slow zone. It creates a mood that provokes peoples thoughts about how they drive.
This convinces the view that by wearing this jewelry brand that you'll stand out above the rest. It appeals to a woman's confidence when surrounded by other beautiful women.
Its telling you that if you wear their brand and go to their event that you'll find someone. This gives people hope that they'll find love or whatever.
